What forms of payment are accepted?
We accept all major forms of credit cards this includes Visa, MasterCard, Bankcard, Diners Club and American Express. Australian customers can also now pay for their order by money order, however orders paid by this method must be made using the offline order facility. Goods are not shipped until payment has been received and successfully processed.
Are online transactions safe using credit card/debit card?
Online transactions use a technique called SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) this encrypts the information that flows between your computer and us when you place an order. By using this method it means that a secure connection has been made, and credit card details can be sent safely. If you have any concerns about submitting your credit card details online, we also now accept payment by credit card through offline ordering. This way you can fax, phone or mail your credit card details through.
What is credit card verification?
Atlantic requires the verification of credit cards of all new international and some new Australian customers. This process is required to ensure that the credit card used online is in fact yours. We appreciate the fact that this some may see this as a deterrent to ordering through us, but the incidence of online credit card fraud has increased rapidly and we need to protect ourselves from this as much as possible, otherwise our prices will have to rise to cover fraudulent orders.
The way the credit card verification process works is as follows: When you place your first ever order online with Atlantic, we charge your credit card a small amount. We require that you check your credit card statement (which can be checked online if you have internet banking facilities or you can call your bank for an immediate response) and email us the amount we have charged your card. As soon as we have received your confirmation we will process your order, subtracting the small amount we initially charged your account from the value of the order. Subsequent orders will be processed without any further verification. For further information about our credit card verification system please contact us.
When do you charge my credit card?
We only charge your credit card the day the order is shipped this means you are not being charged for products such as pre-orders until day of release.
My order never arrived even though you sent me a "Shipping Confirmation" email.
If this occurs you should contact us immediately to confirm that your order was indeed sent. If the order had indeed been sent and has failed to arrive, the order may be re-processed or refunded, though this is at the sole discretion of Atlantic DVD.
Do you accept offline orders?
Yes. We have added an offline ordering facility to the web site. To make is as easy as possible for you, the offline order form is dynamically generated, automatically filling in your name, address, phone number and the goods you have ordered, as well as the shipping costs. All you have to do is complete the payment details section, choosing your payment method (credit card or money order), then phone, fax or mail the offline order form to us. Please note that money order payments can only be made by Australian customers with funds drawn from Australian banks, and that orders will not be shipped until payment has been received and successfully processed.
Will my personal information remain confidential on your site?
We will not release any of your personal information to any third party. All information and orders are kept confidential.
